On September 11, 2017, metastatic breast cancer killed Founder/CEO Anil Sethi’s baby sister, Tania.
In her last six months of life, Anil crisscrossed the country with Tania, who was seen by 23 specialists across 17 institutions, none of which had Tania’s full health history. And only after her death did he learn there was so much in her data that could have extended her life – and that can do the same for thousands of others.
Four days before she died, Anil promised Tania that he would do everything in his power to kill cancer in our lifetime and put patients in control of their health data. That’s why he left his role as Apple’s Director of Health Records to start Ciitizen.
Our mission is to empower seven billion citizens across the planet with all of their health data. When you control your data, you have more options. For your own care, and to advance research for others.
